Scholarship Application Overview

Dear Graduating Senior,

As you prepare to embark upon your journey of Higher Learning, after graduating from High School, the Project UPLIFT Alliance Non-Profit Organization is offering an opportunity for you to be awarded a scholarship to aid you with pursuing your educational goals. 

The Project UPLIFT Excellence Scholarship will be a $500.00 scholarship offered to four (4) Seniors from Bladen County Schools: West Bladen, East Bladen, Bladen Early College, and Paul R. Brown Academy. The scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors enrolling into a Four-Year College or University or Two Year College or Technical College. Through this initiative, assistance is provided to ensure the maximum development of each student.

Completed scholarship applications must be submitted by May 31, 2025. Notifications will be made by June 28, 2025. Scholarship awards are expected to be applied toward tuition, room, board and books. All decisions by the scholarship committee are final. The Recipients will be presented their scholarships at The Project UPLIFT Community Excellence Gala on July 26, 2025 at The Lu Mil Vineyard in Elizabethtown, NC.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants Must:

1. Must be a resident of Bladen County. 

2. Be a 2025 Graduating Senior from West Bladen, East Bladen,  Bladen Early College or Paul R. Brown Academy.

3. Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 5.0 scale

4. Be accepted and planning on enrolling into a Community College or Post-Secondary Institution in the Fall 2025 semester as a full-time undergraduate student.
